Hi! I’m Jaimi. Mix & Mingle has been my passion project since 2013. I was inspired to create a community that supported and connected Bozeman area singles after hiking the M. Every blip of conversation I heard was about disappointment in relationships, devastation after a break-up and frustration with the dating scene. I had also recently broken up with the most recent guy and the thought of jumping back on dating apps or hanging out at bars did not sound appealing at all. When talking to single friends, who all had very fulfilling and active social lives, there was still a sense of overall loneliness and a lack of resources to connect with other singles in person.

So I decided to host a potluck at my house that was intended to expand the social networks of the singles that attended. Your ticket in the door was to bring someone of the opposite sex that you weren’t interested in dating. The people that attended met lots of new people and gave me lots of feedback that this was a need in the Bozeman area. From there, Mix & Mingle was born.

Although I originally wanted everyone to meet and fall in love (which has happened at least three times), I started hearing about the unexpected ways it supported singles. There were multiple people that met their now best friends at a Mix & Mingle event. There were others that came to their first event shy and quiet who’s personalities and confidence just grew after a few events. For some people, it was the first thing they’d done for themselves after raising their children. So now my mission is to create a community of connection that allows for singles to love the hell out of their single lives.

I especially enjoy creating events that share my passions and watching attendees absolutely fall in love with something they’ve never tried before, like tango dancing or improv comedy. We even had a Discover Scuba Diving workshop at the Bozeman Swim Center once.

I originally grew up in Seattle and moved to Montana after falling in love with small town living (and a cowboy) at a summer job in Jackson Hole, Wy. The cowboy is long gone but I got to keep Montana. I’ve been in Bozeman for 25 years and consider myself a connector. I’m also an event and marketing consultant, latin dancer, hiker, a paddle board and travel enthusiast, auntie and mom to two fur babies.
